Because Vince McMahon has assimilated every professional wrestling organization, stole themes that made said wrestling organizations unique, and can’t go a single month with out advertising a Pay-Per-View event, wrestling fucking blows now.  Things weren’t always like this. Pour One Out For: WWE’s Test 3/17/75 – 2/13/09

Professional wrestling has gone down the tubes (at least in my opinion) ever since the king of douche bags made an announcement back around ’98 about how the “sport” isn’t real.  From that day forth, every company with the exception of ECW started to slowly snowball into super shit.  As a result, I started to shun the WWF (that’s right..I said it, and will keep saying it because this WWE garbage is lame) and pay more attention to the maniacs of Extreme Championship Wrestling.  In that time, Vince McMahon started to involve himself (and his family) in the story lines of the WWF.  His daughter Stephanie began an on screen relationship with an Andrew “Test” Martin.  He was a big son of a bitch, from what I can remember.  But I also remember wanting to puke over what the WWF had become.  Vince basically ripped off the hard-core theme of ECW, and was trying to be more “edgy”. January 29, 2009

Chris Jericho and sleep peacefully now. Reps for Mickey Rourke have stated that he will not be participating in Wrestlemania MMXVII. Although he’s already dressed for it.

A spokeswoman for actor Mickey Rourke says he won’t be taking his role as a professional wrestler into a real-life ring after all.

Paula Woods told The Associated Press on Wednesday night that Rourke will not wrestle WWE superstar Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 in April at Houston’s Reliant Stadium. (Source)

In other Rourke news, this makes me sick.

Chris Jericho Needs a Time Out

January 28, 2009

We reported a few days ago that Mickey Rourke may be participating in this years Wrestlemania. Frequent RBM reader and professional wrestler Chris Jericho got wind of this and did not take Rourke’s words lightly. In the above video from Larry King, Jericho calls Rourke out, telling him that he has no respect for him. Rourke handles it like a champ but Jericho keeps poking and poking and poking. My favorite part is at the end when Rourke calls Jericho “son.”

You can’t tell but Rourke is not wearing any pants.

RAM SLAM!!! Mickey Rourke was on the red carpet of last night’s SAG Awards and he told Access Hollywood that he could be wrestling in WWE’s Wrestlemania 25, being held on April 5 in Houston, Texas. Rourke states that the boys from WWE gave him a call and asked if it’s something he would be interested in. Rourke quickly replied, “I’ll do it.” He explained that he has been talking with Rowdy Rodder Piper about it over a KFC Family Bucket. No word whther he’ll actually be wrestling or just dressing like a gay pirate.
