On December 4, Kanye was performing in Melbourne when someone in the audience threw something on stage. Instead of losing his cool, Kanye broke into an impromptu Auto-Tune-aided diss. “Eat shit, die,” West chanted, amping the crowd up to join. This is a pretty lame reaction by Kanye (even if the Auto-Tune sounds awesome), but a big noogie to the idiot who paid to see a concert and then threw something on stage.

Kanye West’s latest offering, 808s & Heartbreak, is a dramatic departure from the radio-friendly, get-the-party-started hip-hop he’s embraced in the past. Since the release of 2007’s Graduation, West has lost his mother, broken up with longtime girlfriend/fiancé Alexis Phifer and adopted a Cobain-esq attitude towards international stardom. It is in light of these circumstances that Kanye serves up a bleak, auto-tune soundscape that rivals anything else that sounds as if it were conceived in a recording studio on the moon.

And I’m the White Danny Glover. Shades enthusiast and director Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Religulous) recently shot a pilot with Kanye West, self-proclaimed “Black Larry David.” Awesome? Yes, awesome. From ComingSoon.net:
He also told us that he already shot a pilot for the currently untitled Kanye West project that the rapper was doing for Larry Charles’ regular home HBO, and he told us a little more about what that is, since there’ve been many rumors about it being a sitcom or reality TV. In fact, it’s neither, as Charles informed us. “What Kanye West said to me the first time, he said, ‘I’m the black Larry David.’ That’s the first thing he said to me. So it’s like a Kanye and ‘Curb’ show, it’s kind of improvised about the situations and stuff. It was really good, but again I think it was too hardcore for HBO. Also, HBO’s management shifted, but HBO doesn’t have a good track record when it comes to black shows and I felt like that may have had something to do with it also. I don’t see a lot of shows about that experience at all.
If this show does get going they need to get Larry David to do an episode with Kanye. Can you imagine Larry interacting with Kanye? Comic gold.

From the Police Statement:
Entertainer Kanye West and Don Crowley, his road manager and body guard, were arrested at Los Angeles International Airport, today by Los Angeles World Airports Police following an altercation with two members of the paparazzi. The incident occurred at 7:51 a.m.
At which point Sean Penn came out and laid out every paparazzi in LA. Not really, but I wish.
