I thought waking up with a monumental asthma attack was going to be the worst thing to happen today. Oh how wrong I was. Veteran comedy director John Hughes has gone the way of Aunt Edna in Vacation, and has passed away. Yahoo had this to say:
“Writer-director John Hughes, Hollywood’s youth impresario of the 1980s and ’90s who captured and cornered the teen and preteen market with such favorites as Home Alone, The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, died Thursday, a spokeswoman said. He was 59.
Hughes died of a heart attack during a morning walk in Manhattan, Michelle Bega said. He was in New York to visit family.”
Talk about a day going from SUCK to BLOW!. Hughes’ films are, with out a doubt, the funniest movies to have ever been made. Even though the bulk of his films were created durring my adolescance, they have been a major part in my life. Because of this, a major Hughes movie marathon will be going down at New Camelot this evening. My ribs may ache from a sneeze gone wrong now, but they are gonna be destroyed from hilarious laughter by the end of the night. This I VOW!
