Help RBM Buy a Dinosaur

Now announcing the very first Robot Bites Man fund raiser!!! With your help we could become the first blog to own an actual dinosaur skeleton (I’m guessing) and all we need to do is raise $300,000 and pretend we’re a museum.

NEW YORK – A New York gallery says a 150-million-year-old complete skeleton of a dinosaur has failed to sell at auction.

Josh Chait (CHATE’) of I.M. Chait Gallery/Auctioneers says two museums interested in the fossil failed to meet the minimum price of nearly $300,000 during the auction Saturday. He declined to identify the two parties.

Chait says the gallery is still trying broker a deal to sell the 9-foot-long dryosaurus fossil to a museum. Dryosauruses were two-footed, plant-eating creatures (source).

Donors will be aloud, nay encouraged, to come over whenever they want to play with this thing. Fuck museum rules. There will be no red rope sectioning off this thing. Wanna get your picture taken riding it? Be our guest. Want to get drunk and use the skull as a helmet? Me too.

Oscar-smoshcar, there is no way Diablo Cody can still turn Oh Mars down if we have a dinosaur.

“Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs” AND “More Dinosaurs”

Gary Owens owns the mustache AND nerd glasses.

Might I suggest a better cause to save for . . . a trip to the Museum of the Moving Image.

The best collections are the interactive types . . . always.
