Song of the Day

I’m super excited about The Wrestler, but since Hollywood seems to think that no one outside of LA or NYC likes movies, I probably won’t get to see it until next year. Ah well, at least we’ve got Springsteen’s original song for the movie to tide us over. Mickey Rourke is buddies with the Boss and apparently he gave him a call to tell him about the movie. The next day Bruce called Mickey and said he had written a song based on what he’d been told about it. Aronofsky asked to hear it, loved it, and put it at the end of the movie. It’ll also be the last track on Springsteen’s new album, Workin’ on a Dream and is up for a Best Song Oscar. In this Boss addict’s opinion, it’s a already a classic; a perfect example of Bruce’s ability to capture the hardship in the lives of others. There’s nothing funny in this post, my bad:
