“Further” Adventures in Babysitting

I’m a passive dude, but when you mess with mi familia, it’s straight to the mattresses. Adventures in Babysitting is one of my sister’s favorite movies so when I heard Disney is making a sequel (Further Adventures in Babysitting), I knew someone was going to have to pay.

Raven Symone is slated to play the role originally portrayed by Elisabeth Shue in the 1987 classic. Yeah, that Raven Symone. May I quote “Slam” by Onyx? Because “wa-wa-wa-wait it gets worse!” /Film reports that tween idol Miley Cyrus will also star in the sequel (which has a 2010 tentative release date).

I have wicked fond memories of watching this movie with my sister and getting amped up when Thor says “I already have one.” And no joke, me and Iamlunaschlosser were just reminiscing about the fashion show finale last week! Thanks, Disney!

Ha, Adventures in Babysitting was on TV the other day, I thought it’s a good example of a fairly recent movie where the plot is rendered almost completely un-thinkable today because of cell phones.

One of those kids woulda had a cell phone, the car thief for sure woulda had a cell phone….

    Just sayin’

I’ve been giving this problem some thought. I think I have a solution. I work in the retail biz and can get my hands on a Raven-shoulda-just-quit-after-the-Cosby-show-Symone doll (thank you Cheetah Girls Franchise, what is that anyways, I don’t even feel like googling it) and a Miley Cyrus doll. You know they probably kissed or pissed on each one to give it that extra special touch. Then all we need is a little black magic. I’m not saying we kill the tween angels, but maim the both of them in ways that would halt production until they get knocked up or start the whole phase of letting their va-jay-jay’s hang out. I should probably snag the Tisdale doll just in case.

I’m not talking out of my ass either. The whole voodoo doll thing worked in Teen Witch. We just need to find a little person . . . if memory serves.
